About me
My name is Sandy and I am an aspiring animator/filmmaker from Kent, in the UK. I am proud to say that I am autistic and until recently went through most of my life undiagnosed. Now that I am aware that I have this unique view of the world, I hope to encourage and inspire others to embrace their differences and celebrate their identity. My film, Sensory Overload, is my first work that touches on hidden disabilities and was selected for The Open exhibition at the Turner Contemporary in Margate. Please click here for details.
I later joined the Aardman Academy and completed their industry standard Stop-Motion 1 and 2 courses. My short film blue; a stop motion animation about an autistic girl, Neo, was selected for their YouTube channel, Aardboiled and can be viewed here. I am currently teaching myself stop-motion animation and hope to create some more experimental films that further explores neurodiversity.
